On Saturday, April 5, 2008 - Darlette Gayle performed National Anthem at the Maryland Bay Raiders (a private owned team) basketball game in Gwynn Oak, Maryland. She did an amazing job singing the National Anthem 'A Capella' blowing the crowd away and also performed her single "So Good 2 U" at half time.

Darlette plans to go back and do more performances at the Maryland Bay Raiders games.

Darlette Gayle, known in her hometown of Washington, DC as "Whyte Chocolate" receives honor from ASCAPLUS Awards Panel, in the Jazz & Popular Division for 2007-08! She has been recognized for the songs that she has authored and co-authored as well as all of the work she's been doing as a performing artist and owner of her own independent label.

She recently opened up for a popular old school group called the "Original Blue Notes" at a Charity event in Philadelphia for the Documentary on People with Disabilities sponsored by Hit House Records. She often gives back by participating in these charity events and have opened up for the "Phillie Intruders" on several occasions.
